Well the week is drawing to a close and what a busy week it's been with an average of 700 patients a day. From the young to the old they come and wait in the heat to have they're eyes checked. For the vast majority it's a happy moment when they leave with they're frames. It would be an understatement to say what a well run project this was. It couldn't have happened without the help of our many local volunteers and translators, who gave freely of they're time. The help came from everyone, the Mayor's office, the police, the escort motorcycles, the drivers, the people who kept us filled up with water and Gatorade, the lunches, the setup and teardown help was nothing short of amazing. Thank you Derrick and Marina for the experience and most of all to our gracious Filipino host and coordinater the AMAZING Ate Nica (Marina's cousin). Thank You for a wonderful experience that will stay in my memory bank for a long time.
PS Thanks to all for the concern over my cold as a cold in the tropics is no fun. Hope to get better soon. Thanks for the medicine.
